The Krummlauf
[Stupid Weapons] No. 3
???
The Krummlauf was invented by the Germans during WWII. A bent barrel attachment for the Sturmgewehr 44 rifle, the Krummlauf was intended to allow soldiers to safely shoot around corners. The operative word, however, being "intended." In reality, the Krummlauf:
- - had an extremely short lifespan, becoming too damaged for further use after only 160-300 rounds
- - caused bullets to shatter into pieces upon firing
- - made shooting incredibly inaccurate
